Perspective
The Bengali Association of Kentucky established in 2025, is a 501(c)(3)-approved nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching and serving the Bengali community in Kentucky by preserving and promoting our shared culture, traditions, and heritage. We come together to celebrate major Bengali festivals such as Saradiya Durgo-Utsav, Saraswati Puja, and other cultural events that foster unity and belonging. Our activities highlight the richness of Bengali literature, poetry, drama, music, and art. We are committed to passing on the Bengali language, history, and values to future generations—especially children—through cultural and religious events and shared learning resources. The Association neither encourages individualism nor groupism. Instead, we work collectively for the greater good of the community. Beyond cultural celebrations, we contribute to society through cultural initiatives, volunteer service, and partnerships with other organizations to promote and preserve Bengali culture. While we primarily celebrate Bengali festivals and cultural events, our association warmly welcomes people of all backgrounds to join and celebrate with us.
